    3. Pan’s Labyrinth (Instrumental)

    4. Those Who Remember

    The trees they are greening
the gray fringe of the city,
    sprout life unseen by passersby
    The waters are waning,
    choke weak through dry reeds
and the will o’ the wisp grows dim

    The faithful still falter
by the banks of the stream and wait…
But there are those who remember
    one of Nature’s oldest lovers

    (O horn-heavy jester,
    O bright-piping god)

    The light-hearted still hearken
to a lilt in the breeze and listen:
    The wind whispers his chaosong

    5. Chaosong (Instrumental)

    6. Sidewalk Soliloquy

    Sometimes the sidewalk tells me
That there’s no place to put my feet,
and it will bruise my soles if it can.

Sometimes the storm clouds tell me that winter is on his way,
that in his bloodless, soulless, coldness
Expect to be alone – expect to be alone.

    All the world has sunken
    into a winter’s sleep
That small death that breaks the light.

The world is dying, leaving me awake -
    Aware, regretful for my life.
They say things always come full circle.
That each season passes in its own turn.

But will my life ever be the same?
    Will spring ever come again?

    7. Chaosong (Reprise)

    8. Denouement of a God

He was a weak God indeed,
    his creation his unmaking.

    Music silenced, joy to dust

The Golden City, rust to dust to ruins
Vineyards forgotten fruit withered on the vine.

    9. Le Defile Satyrique (Instrumental)

    10. Maenads, Melody and Meter

    Standing near the stream,
there’s no need to wait in remembrance

Don’t bring the world into balance,
Bring your balance back to the world.

    Make an offering of melody
    And sacrifice meter.

Don’t pray to me – only
Don’t pray to me – only

    Come dance with me.

    11. Ubi Sunt

    Where are the woods?
    Where are the herds,
    and the shepherd boys?

What of the touch for the giving,
What of the touch for the taking -
    where have they gone?

    Love unmade in the making,
    Love unmade for the taking,
    A weak god indeed.

    12. The Seduction of Daphnis

    Wind sings through the reeds,
there’s no need to wait and remember-

    Don’t wheedle wind into stillness,
Give your stillness back to the wind.

Make an offering of soul and body
    But never repent the gift.

Don’t pray to me – only
Don’t pray to me – only

    Come dance with me.
    Go down into the forest,
let the forest come into you
Sink deep into song, let it sing you

    Dive far beneath the waters,
let the waves lave your skin
Come near, and find faith rewarded.

Run with me, down to the willows,
and lie down by my side.
Rest with me, and lay down your head.

    I am a river!

Ride me and I’ll take you down
to another shore and I will teach you to
    play sweetly on the reeds.

Come – I’ll sing to you the chaosong!

    13. Nectar of the Gods

    Decanter tipped and poison spilled
Was it only wine? Was it only wine?

The wisest of the foolish swilled
Ichor of the fine, Ichor of the vine.

Did not partake for greed or thirst
    but pride and vanity!

Quick tipped, her glass to be,
the first to drink to drink insanity.

    Ambrosia unearthed in shallow graves,
    Within the mortal mind.

    Sobriety cannot be saved
    For madness is divine!

    14. Youth’s Denial

Words of spring, winds of song,
you tempt my soul to hope, too high
    but you don’t know me.

Only a vision of folly and flight
I’ve dreamed late in the night
(of the City, of the City)

A creature of light, no friend to the dark,
with no place in this night that descends
(on the City, on the City)

Words of Spring, winds of song,
seeds of a season long gone
(from the City, from the City)

    15. The Temptation of Icarus

Flight of myth, you’re the lord
    of Springs long past-
    You don’t know the night has fallen;
You tempt my soul to fly, too high.

    16. Selene Rising

    Ah…
    Not so.
    You do not even know!

    No stranger to darkness,
    I know the night well
    Been a lover to Luna,
    let them tell you now…

    17. The Tears of Selene

    Rhyme and reason, morning sun
    Through the blinds, cutting skin
    Spinning colors inside out

    Mental treason, onward through
The night it goes, into dawn…..
    Through evening breeze
    and morning light
    It’s always there

    Haunting me, haunting you
    The dream of forever
Can it lift me up and free my soul

    The dream of tonight
    Selene, Selene midnight dream
    Eternal lover, Selene, Selene

Crashing waves through the walls of time
    And distant days

    Selene, Selene
Selene, Selene is it honey or is it gold

    Selene, Selene
    Descend from heaven
    And return to the sky

    Reflection in my eye
    Ambrosia on my skin

    Long forgotten summer days
We were there side by side

Trapped in a rhapsody of sound
    On a lonely distant wind

    You called me
    From the dawn

    Through evening breeze
    and morning light

    It’s always there
    Haunting me, haunting you

    The dream of forever
Can it lift me up and free my soul
    The dream of tonight

    18. Erato’s Pulse

Hear my voice now in the silence
While we walk the road of history

Take my hand now hear the words I say
On the longest night we’ll pass in shadow
And shatter the walls of spirits left within

Hear my thoughts now in your silence
While we talk of gods and eternity

    Take the reigns now,
    guide the dreams of destiny

    On the longest night we’ll
    conjure fate and fury

And shatter the spells hidden between
    and deep within

    They hide now in shadow
    They whisper now in darkness

    They lead with a vision
And mold the dreams from within

    道可道 非常道
    名可名 非常名

    They hide now in shadow
    They whisper now in darkness
    They lead with a vision

And mold the dreams from within
    Taste now the blood nectar

    Erato’s Pulse!
    Taste now the blood nectar

    Erato’s Pulse!
Help me find now my insanity

Whilst the darkest of nights lie just ahead
    Take the light now
burn the sun into our words

    On the longest night
    we’ll contemplate the starlight

And mold the dreams of men
    silent with fear!

    19. Silhouette

Thick smoke rises into the pregnant air
    Across the dark skyline

Dense music pours onto the crowded streets
    Across the damp bricks

Gray mist crawls slowly towards the shore
    Across the silent river

Two lovers walk hand in hand

    Nightbloom flowing around them
    Lost to the world,
    Lost in the mist
Lost to those who would follow
    Lost in the shadows,
    Never missed

    Perfume and musk hang heavy
    in the damp air

    Across the satin sheets
    Passion and pleasure chase each
    other into the night

    Across the humid city
Half moon slowly rides into the clouds

    Across the shadows
Two lovers stare eye to eye

    Emotions passing between them
    Lost to the night,
    Lost in the mist
Lost to the reflection of life
    Lost in the moment,
    They kiss

    Далеко за морем,
    За высоким бором,
    В дождь и непогоду,
    Любовь живет

Two lovers touch flesh to flesh
    Desire flowing through them

Lost in the pleasure, Lost in his touch
She removes her silk and bracelet
Into history they cast a silhouette

Note that the lyrics of this song are almost identical to the song of same name on the first album “Evening Mirage“. This is not a mistake. The song on this album is the modern version of that song.
